Located within the Galiano Community School, these community spaces are available for community sports and recreational activities. They can also be booked for running community programs and for private functions.

The Meeting Room.

When you book the meeting room you have access to chalk boards, tables and chairs. At this time, there is no WiFi. 

Pre COVID19, the meeting room could comfortably hold approximately 12 to 15 people around a meeting room table. Current COVID19 restrictions would limit the occupancy to a maximum of 4 (maintaining social distancing) but would not recommend more than 2 or 3 users for any length of time. 

For occasional use, there is no fee for booking the meeting room. If providing a community service or offering a class or activity, an honorarium between $50 and $100 is offered by The Activity Centre to support our community facilitators.

The Meeting Room is not available when school is in session.

The Kitchen.

The kitchen is generally booked along with either the gym or the meeting room or both. Plates, bowls, cups and basic kitchen cutlery are included and available for use. There are two residential stoves, a residential fridge and a sanitizer.  

If providing a community service or offering a class or activity, there is no fee and an honorarium between $50 and $100 is offered by The Activity Centre to support our community facilitators.

As part of a private rental with the gym or meeting room, the cost is $50 total. 

The Kitchen is not available when school is in session.

The Gym.

When booking the gym, you can ask for access to our sporting equipment. These include volleyballs, basketballs(youth), badminton, floor hockey, and pickleball equipment.   

For those interested in the space for offering free or fee based sports or recreational programming, there is no rental fee, and honorariums between $50 and $100 are offered by The Activity Centre to support our community facilitators.

For private bookings, the cost of renting the space is $50 total. This can include all three rooms or just the gym or the meeting room, or the kitchen and meeting room.
