What is it?
Recreational sports take place in our gym, on our wooden tennis court and on the school field. All recreational sports are free of charge.
Who is it for?
The Activity Centre facilitates recreational sports opportunities for community members of all ages and skill levels. Many opportunities are 'drop-in' and open to residents and visitors alike. Some may require registration. See the chart below for details

GALIANO OPEN TOURNAMENT
We are thrilled to present the first-ever Galiano Open Pickleball and Tennis Tournament.
This exciting event will take place on August 3, 2025 and serve as a fundraiser in support of our new multi-sport court replacement project.
The tournament will feature:
Doubles Tennis - played on three courts around the south end. iIncluding the old wooden court for an added touch of fun and nostalgia.
Pickleball - both beginner and experienced brackets hosted in the Activity Centre gym
Final matches for all categories will take place at the Activity Centre, followed by a lively community celebration complete with A beer garden, BBQ, music, Silent auction, and lots of spirited cheering for our finalists!
